What's in it for you?

Servings per pack

One 250ml or 375ml bottle of Spring Valley Orange Juice equals one serve, depending on your height or appetite, if you know what we mean.

Serving size

Based on the amount of Spring Valley Orange Juice an average (or even quite brilliant) person drinks in a single sitting*. Our experts say see the servings bit above. * Works the same if standing.

Energy

Also known as kilojoules (kJ). It’s the amount of energy in a Spring Valley Orange Juice. A good thing to know because to keep a healthy weight, you have to balance the amount of energy you put in (eating and drinking) with the amount you burn being active. Here’s a suggested activity – run to compare similar products to see which has less kJs.

Protein

Really important to build and maintain muscle and tissue, as well as regulate important bodily processes and chemical reactions. Best sources are fish and red meat – lousy as juice.

Fat (Total/Saturated)

Fat is fuel for the body. It’s also v. high in kilojoules. Dietary Guidelines of Australia recommend limiting your total fat intake, especially saturated fat. Our juices might be wet, but they don’t contain saturated fat.

Carbohydrate

Unless you live in Hollywood, carbs are the body’s main source of energy. There are two types – simple (i.e. sugars) and complex (i.e. starches and fibre). Carbs in Spring Valley Orange Juice total 25.3g and come mainly from natural fruit sugars. But that figures, right?

Sugars

Naturally occurring sugars (i.e. simple carbs – see above) and some added sugar (i.e.cane sugar) are found in most beverages (but no added sugar in this one). Dietary Guidelines of Australia recommend keeping sugars and foods with sugar to a sensible level.

Sodium

Most adult Australians are suckers for salt, consuming more than the recommended 2300mg (or pinch) of sodium a day. Fortunately we’re not a nation of salty juice drinkers so our levels are low.

Vitamin C

A great antioxidant (got to have it for growth and repair) Vitamin C also helps you absorb iron from food. One 375ml bottle of Spring Valley Orange Juice contains at least 100% of your recommended dietary intake of Vitamin C.
